ORLANDO, Fla., Oct. 23, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Brian Birdy, Vice President of Property Management Inc. (PMI) was sworn in as President of the National Association of Residential Property Managers (NARPM) last Thursday, at the Annual NARPM Convention & Trade Show in Orlando, Florida. The outgoing president, Steve Schultz, will continue as president until the commencement of Birdy's term on January 1, 2018.
Birdy has been a member of NARPM since 2007. He is a NARPM education instructor, speaker, and sits on its National Board of Directors. He also holds NARPM's Master Property Manager and Resident Management Professional designations.
Birdy's career in property management began in 2000 when he retired from a 15-year career in United States Air Force, and began working for his father, Barry Birdy, at the family owned business, Birdy Properties in San Antonio, Texas. Five years later he became the Owner and Broker of the company, which during this period increased its number of managed properties from 80 to over 1500. In January 2016, Birdy took a position as Vice President at Property Management Inc. (PMI), the property management franchise company based in Lehi, Utah. By the end of the year, he brought his own company into the PMI network and renamed it PMI Birdy Properties. As PMI's Vice President, Birdy has helped the PMI real estate network to rapidly grow its assets under management and is a key builder of PMI's Double Your Doors program. As NARPM President, Birdy will serve as spokesperson for NARPM, evaluate the organization's performance and aid the Board of Directors in strategic planning and developing policy.
